2007: Between computergames and TV

This project is engaged with children, the youth, being young, coming from different cultural background and countries. “hanging objects” are shot of children in troublezones fund in the newspaper which we have all seen, than manipulated and placed on the unrestored wall of an old empty kee-factory – it comes to a dialogue between the photos of the children. The spots of time on the wall tell the story.

The eyes of children, which do not play computergames or look television, look out of the damaged walls. Their innocent faces are only eyes which tells what they passed through and what cannot be erased, their inner and outer injuries without hope to be cured. The faces are young and full of life at the same time marked by fear. They lost their parents in war or in natural disasters, were forced to child labour or disapeare d as children soldier or forced to pornography.

Their history appears on and of in the news. The viewer in using the remote control can switch it of and look another chanel/programm. On the computer, colourful well designed war scene attract the attention of the user, they can click the sound and the bloody pictures of and by restarting the programm dead people are coming back. In the virtuel lfe you can style your own life by escaping workaday.

The user manipulates his reality in accordance to his own imagination, the limits between game and reality start slowly to fade.
